Team Impact Volunteerism at the Food Bank of the Rockies

The fourth weekend in January, Ankmar employees gathered at the Food Bank of the Rockies to volunteer their time. The event was arranged by the Company’s Team Impact which empowers employees to be involved with volunteerism, charitable activities and wellness events.

Those who volunteered helped with the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) by working along the assembly line filling boxes and pallets of food to be distributed to other organizations to be handed out among those in need. CSFP is a USDA program working to improve the health of low-income people at least 60 years of age. Eligible seniors receive a monthly food box along with nutrition education and recipes.

This was the first time that a team from Ankmar has volunteered at the Food Bank of the Rockies. Employees volunteered for about four hours.

We had an excellent turn out, especially from our warehouse employees. It was great to see so many of them participate.
