Very Accurate and Professional

We’re Getting In The Holiday Spirit!

The garage door required a new threshold. Old rubber broken allowing mice and snakes into garage. Appointment was a phone call. Tech showed up on Appointment day. Called prior to arrival.Replaced threshold and also pointed out 3 fails in concrete that required some repair. Henry came on a Saturday to conduct an install and we had a chat about the different brands, capabilities and durability of the models they provide and service. After a few minutes of his information I was able to decide on the perfect model for my home. We rescheduled the appointment to that following Monday and he came in time… actually earlier than expected and still installed both garage door openers in an expedient time. I have been using both doors and there are no complaints. As he advised I was able to easily sync them both with an app and now I am able to be notified of all situations concerning the doors. I have used Ankmar for my garage door repairs for a number of years. They are a reliable company and I have never had any difficulties in scheduling a service, or with the quality of workmanship. When scheduling an appointment I am able to select a time-window, and the service technician has always called, arrived, and completed the necessary service, within that same time-window. Sure, there are companies out there that might be cheaper – but remember, you get what you pay for. Ankmar is my go to company, they installed the garage door, and mechanism, keypad, etc, almost 20 years ago. Great company, great service.read more

When our garage door quit working for an unknown reason, we called Ankmar for help. They sent a repairman (Eric) within 24 hrs to diagnose the problem. Eric was very pleasant & knowledgeable. He found a replacement circuit board for our opener so we didn’t have to replace the whole thing. It was a very tricky removal and re-install of a garage door that had been secured in-place to act as the exterior wall of an office space. I’d like to thank the consultant who was out to our home to sell us a new garage door and motor unit! Steve F is the best and perfectly detailed our quote to fit the nuances of size and shape of our older 1963 home. The installer, Javier, was out yesterday to install the new garage door and opener and he was simply amazing! Very kind and considerate, cleaning up every little nail and bolt and even some cobwebs and dirt that were there before he even showed up (which I told him he didn’t have to do but he did anyway) :]. Our garage looks better than it has in the 15 years we’ve lived here! Javier was very proficient, polite & professional, showed up on time, and worked diligently to make sure everything was right by checking his work along the way and tweaking track or pvc trim as needed to fit 100% correctly in our space. This request was for an annual service inspection as I want experiencing any problems but wanted to make sure there weren’t any potential issues that I wasn’t aware could be. The tech showed up on time and made some quick assessments that the original installation had no issues that loosened our needed attention. He then sprayed lubricant on all the joints to improve the garage door efficiency and functions. He was quick to service the garage doors and told me everything was working well. He also got my second garage door programmed on the outside control panel to open and close very quickly.All and all this was a quick and very smooth service call.read more

I had Eric J from Ankmar come to the house about a half hour early than originally planned and of course he called to let me know he was coming. Once he got here he could see my garage door eye wasn’t set right and proceeded to fix both lights and told me what to look for when aligning the eyes. He was friendly and a great humorous individual. He also mentioned some other things to keep my garage door working which was greatly appreciated. They responded quickly to our initial call of a broken spring. While they couldn’t repair it (didn’t have the right set of replacement springs on the truck) they were able to make a temporary fix with a clamp that enabled us to use that garage door. While it took 2 trips to finally get the right springs installed, we were able to open/close the door as needed, so we weren’t inconvenienced by all that. I appreciated that they installed the right set of springs and not just something that would work.read more

Ankmar Garage Doors is a stand up company with morals. They do no nickel and dime you by adding on miscellaneous “necessities” at the estimate. I had an estimate done for a noise and I was quoted $520, but the man quickly said he would do it for $500 even…? Oh my gosh! We love Ankmar! We were backing into our garage with a truck and kind of a high profile load and accidentally hit the bottom of our garage door since it was in the up position…well it knocked it off the rails, of course, broke a couple of the supports and it was a real mess! The garage door was just sort of hanging there suspended! so we called the company that actually installed the garage door and although they offer 24/7 emergency service and this was about 5 o clock one afternoon and they couldn’t get to us until noon the next day!!!! So much for emergency service! So I immediately called Ankmar and they had a repairman out to our house within an hour!! It took him about a half an hour to completely fix the garage door, get it back on its tracks, replaced the broken parts and in fact the door works now better than it did before we crashed into it!!!! One of the best customer experiences I have had for home contractors ever. I had a broken spring and contacted Ankmar – they got back to me immediately and scheduled me for next day service. The service tech gave me a quote (great price!), did the work, and there were no surprises. The service tech went way above and beyond my expectations…he tightened loose bolts on BOTH my garage doors, checked everything on my “good door” lubricated both doors, and let me know about some wear on my rollers. I called to have someone come look at an issue I was having with the door. When I was given a 4-hour time frame for arrival, I told the scheduler, it was ok, however I had to leave my house by a certain time. On the date of scheduled service, I received a call from the technician, Larry E., telling me he was on his way — this was about 2 hours earlier than the end of the time frame! I drove into my garage with a cargo bag on the roof of my car which resulted in a quite broken garage door. Two separate garage repair people came out and while they were quite professional, neither were able to repair it. One guy said I needed a new garage and the other said I probably did (he couldn’t get the garage fixed on his own since the garage was hanging off one rail).When Chris, the Ankmar tech arrived, he told me without hesitation the garage is absolutely 100% repairable. About an hour later, my garage door was operable. The total bill was under $200 whereas a new garage door would have been around $1500. I was very impressed by the speed, professionalisim and execution of Chris and Ankmar. Based on this experience I’d recommend them highly.read more

When my 20yo LiftMaster garage door opener stopped moving its belt, Ankmar came out the next day to diagnose the issue, discuss pros and cons of repair vs. replace, and installed a new LiftMaster 8550 unit for 10% less than Front Range Garage Door’s quote and 15% less than The Garage Doctor’s quote.
